How does Roos Brothers sizing run?+–
True to size, with a tailored-but-comfortable California cut. If you sit between sizes, take the larger for Oxford shirts and the smaller for polos and knitwear. The full measurements live in our Size & Fit Guide.
Where are the garments made?+–
Fabrics come from named mills — Albini and Vitale Barberis Canonico in Italy, flax from Normandy, Merino from Australia, selvedge denim from Okayama. Construction is finished to our specification and inspected twice before shipping.
Is shipping really free?+–
On US orders over $150, yes — and returns are always free in the United States. Full rates for every region are on the Shipping page.
What is the difference between the three collections?+–
RB Essentials dresses your everyday; Roos Brothers Heritage revives archive silhouettes with modern tailoring; Black Label is limited-production luxury. Same standard throughout — each simply dresses a different hour of your life.
How should I care for my garments?+–
Every piece ships with care instructions on the label, and our full fabric-by-fabric guide is on the Fabrics & Materials page. The short version: wash cold, hang dry, iron warm, dry-clean tailoring.
Is Roos Brothers really from 1865?+–
Yes. Adolphe and Hippolyte Roos arrived in San Francisco from Alsace in 1864 and opened on Leidesdorff Street in 1865. The house survived the 1906 earthquake and dressed California for 119 years. In 2026 the name was revived in San Francisco. Read the story →
